Box Office -'Quiet Place' Tops 'Inside Out 2' With $23M Friday, 'Horizon' Struggles

The Tollywood sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD' will earn around $54 million worldwide as 'Bikeriders' crashes but 'Thelma' continues to overperform for a Magnolia title.

Paramount’s A Quiet Place: Day One topped the box office on Friday with a robust $22.5 million, scoring a bigger single-day gross than either of the first two Quiet Place films ($18.6 million in April of 2018 and $19.5 million in May of 2021). However, Walt Disney’s Inside Out 2 held firm with a $16.5 million (-46%) on its third Friday. The Pixar sequel will likely still win the weekend, but this is a clear example of why the weekend rank is far less important than the actual gross. Simply put, both films are undisputed winners.
