Today’s “no news is bad news” weekend box office report…

  • Captain America 4 will sell fewer tickets globally than Captain America 1.

  • Last Breath and My Dead Friend Zoe are relatively small-scale openers, but (at least) the Briarcliff-distributed PSTD dramedy is worth your time and your money.

  • The Monkey races up Neon’s all-time charts alongside likely Oscar champ Anora.

  • Paddington 3, Bridget Jones 4 and the British Invasion that wasn’t.

  • China’s Ne Zha 2 is huge in America by recent Chinese (and even Indian) import standards as it prepares to cross $2 billion worldwide.

FYI - I’ll be hosting a Paid Subscriber Chat during the Oscar telecast.
