Box Office - 'Twisters' Launches Early, 'Longlegs' Nabs Record $23M Weekend

'Despicable Me 4' had the best second-weekend hold of any Gru/Minions flick yet.

There was lots of weekend box office news in what was supposed to be a “time out” frame before the Twisters/Deadpool 3/Trap triple whammy. It’s good news that there have been no slow/underwhelming weekends since Memorial Day, but I may have erred in scheduling the big summer road trip during what turned out to be a hectic month. I guess I have a… heptad feature (Kalki 2898 AD, MaXXXine, Kill, Long Legs, Fly Me to the Moon, Sing Sing, Twisters) scheduled for when I return this week.
