In this exciting episode of… uh… “I have too many stories to comment upon and don’t want to spam your inbox”…
- I’ll talk about Warner Bros. Discovery using precious pre-Dune Part Two trailer real estate for two non-tentpoles.
- I’ll note the grim irony of (not unlike Space Jam: A New Legacy opening in the summer of 2021) having that long-gestating remake of The Crow finally get released at a time when I have to root for it to succeed.
- As Bad Boys 4 moves up a week to June 7, I’ll again note that we still have no idea whether “the slap” did any real harm to Will Smith’s (franchise-dependent) bankability.
- Anyone but You has become the first modern Hollywood flick to top $200 million worldwide despite… well, find out that (and more) inside!
