'Superman: Legacy' Would Likely Lose A Box Office Showdown With 'Jurassic World 4'
The Man of Steel should move elsewhere on the 2025 summer season calendar
Welp, theaters hoping for a better summer season next time around got a nice jolt of positivity, with Universal dating a fourth Jurassic World movie for July 2, 2025. This came on word that A) David Koepp had been humming along in crafting a workable screenplay and B) David Leitch (fresh off directing Universal’s Ryan Gosling/Emily Blunt summer season-starter The Fall Guy) will probably helm the project. It will take place after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. Still, it won’t concern the continuing adventures of Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), or the original Jurassic Park trio (Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum). Here are two things we do know. First, I’d imagine BD Wong’s agent is in meetings now to ensure Dr. Wu gets another chance to shine. Second, a new Jurassic World movie slated for July 4th weekend means that Superman Legacy may want to consider flying elsewhere.
