With my seasonal optimism, I'd say that Moana 2 fallin as "fast" as it is, especially as compared not only to Wicked, but to other Dusney animations (especially the poorly received ones) is reason for Disney, not us to be concerned.
Now even with the special circumstancesbof this being rescued from Disney+ and turned into a cinema movie, the failure to fully capitalise on such a huge opening dies show that making "Return if Jafar" level sequels is likely damaging to the brand in the long run and DEFINITELY a sure way to make less money than you itherwise could.
Yes Mufasa is muddying the waters as they are fighting for their exact same audience even more so than with Wicked; but I hope Iger & Co see that more marmalde today and tomorrow is better than some quick and easy marmalde today only.
