Listen now | A ‘Minecraft’ box office miracle, plus many thoughts (both deep and shallow) on the various studio panels and sneak peeks presented at last weekend's annual Vegas-based theater owner conference.
Remember lilo and stitch and minority report opened almost identical! I wonder if that will happen again 😂😂😂 oh Lisa just mentioned it lol. I also feel like a lot of people like secret of the ooze more then the first!!
Re: making more movies for today's kids--Lisa's mentioned Jeff Smith's Bone comics, which has been popular with middle-schoolers for the last 20 years--as a prime target for a film adaptation. SHE IS CORRECT. My 9-year-olds love Bone, and they love the work of Smith proteges like Raina Telgemeier (Guts) and Kazu Kibuishi (Amulet), they love Dav Pilkey comics (the already adapted Captain Underpants and Dog-Man) and there's a lot more where all those come from--just take a gander at any given Scholastic book fair.
Yes, Gunn’s probability of failure is quite high. DC fans don’t like Marvel’s silly, fasci brainlessness. If we did, we would be Marvel fans. Back in the day Stan Lee did origin comics for DC characters and they turned out mediocre and forgettable because he didn’t get it. Gunn is at risk of doing the same thing.
25 years? Jesus I really am turning 40 in six months. As an inveterate consumer of trash cinema and B movies, I can contest Leprechaun is the very worst horror franchise of all… except for the “pogo on his lung” kill sequence: https://youtu.be/x9L9S7jEv_M

Those people were wrong, Steven. Wrong in 1991, and wrong in 2025!
Love the bumper mega super sized episode
Not intentional, and I still managed to cut around 25 minutes (mostly my rambling, natch)
lol you kids thought you had it bad with Shrek and the Chipmunks. I grew up with OG Super Mario Bros and the Wizard.
Same Travis... same. To quote my favorite dumb line from Halloween II... "You don't know what death is!!!"
