Sony's choice to move 'Paddington In Peru' to the same day as 'Captain America: Brave New World' is another sign that Hollywood Marvel is at least weak enough or fan-driven enough to justify concurrent franchise competition.
There’s been a few more gratifying experiences than watching Marvel fall. Their fans got real obnoxious for awhile. One of my buddies legit said to me “nobody has done storytelling on this level since Proust.” Insert Grinch smiling gif here.
I still wish Batman V Superman had opened on the same day as Captain America V Iron Man (i.e. Civil War); and the Matrix 4 had opened on the same day as John Wick 4.
Banderss has the time of his life, does Coleman. There's a world of space between good and as good as one the best sequels ever made. Paddington 3 fits nicely in that space, at whichever pointprach individual is happy to place it.
The Marmalade is still fresh. When we went the audience was as they say "from 8 to 80." The couples ,(yes plural) of pensioners, sans grandchildren no less, leaving with smiles wider than the Amazon alongside the usual suspects, a testament to that adorable bear's enduring charms.
I would argue, as a UK resident, that Padding3on has already had a “domestic” release...! 🙃
Bravo, old chap. This tea-drinking Englishman supports this message. Tally ho and let loose the Bear of war!! Ta-ra!

I'll happily take "Peter Rabbit"-level good.
