Listen now | 'Smile 2' continues a three-weekend streak for chart-topping movies about traumatized individuals tormented by external or internal demons flashing a grin.
This episode was off the chain. Yes, do an airing of the Last Jedi-related grievances episode. It’s been almost a decade and it still gets more boring and disjointed with every year.
I'll try to wait until after I see ANORA (waiting for it to expand as my wife might actually want to see it) and THE BRUTALIST to make any kind of "state of the race" projections. But I gotta say, while noting that CONCLAVE is a lot of fun and SEPTEMBER 5 is damn compelling, it still feels like DUNE PART II is sitting pretty by default.
Well, I would be pretty hyped if the sci-fi genre finally score a best pic win, even if I was *slightly underwhelmed by Part II; although my wife insists (I got her to read Messiah right before we watched Part II because I couldn't sit on the spoilers indefinitely), I was too focused on where the series goes and forgot that the first book ends on a more conventional note, which is probably where the underwhelm comes in. Ooh boy, if it wins best pic then Messiah stays faithful to the book, its going to make Joker 2 look like a crowd-pleasing romp.
Yes to the Last Jedi episode and maybe a hang out episode with Lisa throwing conversational hand grenades

After the Brutalist trailer Im prepared to declare the Oscar race for best picture over. Sorry Anora and Conclave.
