Listen now | A slightly disappointing but not disastrous opening for 'Venom 3,' plus a debate on whether David Zaslav's Warner Bros. Discovery is treating what could be Clint Eastwood's last film like... uh... number two.
Minor correction Lisa: I also think John Carter was actually good. Drop the framing device, the creepy Confederate soldier angle (Borroughs is the most racist writer I’ve ever encounter and as a history major I’ve read plenty of racist shite in my time), change the title and you would have had a hit on your hands.
That "Fig" movie looked really cool and exciting for our times: foreign, Middle Eastern, AND Iran, an enemy of US foreign policy. Daring
I felt Conclave was strong though I didn't have the emotional investment I would've liked. To me, it was almost too much of a didactic Trump allegory. Undoubtedly well-made though. I plan to see it again
We Live In Time had so much heart and humor. Wonderful. Both stars have an almost old-Hollywood chemistry-based charm.
